In a video making rounds on the internet, the cricket governing body shared a clip of a amateur cricket match stating, “A fan named Hamza sent this video to us this morning asking for a ruling.”

As per media reports, the match was being played in some unconfirmed part of Pakistan. “Unfortunately for the (very unlucky) batsman, law 32.1 confirms... Out!” ruled out the cricket body.

The ICC law 32.1 states, “The striker is out Bowled if his/her wicket is put down by a ball delivered by the bowler, not being a No ball, even if it first touches the striker’s bat or person.”

The ruling by the ICC led to debates between the social media users, while some lauding the cricket body for its gesture.
