After T20s and ODIs, Fakhar Zaman eyes to conquer Tests
Pakistan’s hard-hitting opening batsman Fakhar Zaman is eagerly waiting for upcoming two-Tests encounter with England, as he eyes to cement his place in the game’s purest format. "I have made my place in T20Is and One Day Internationals and now the goal is to make my place in Test cricket," said Zaman quoted PakPassion. Expressing excitement over playing Test cricket, Zaman said he didn’t know in which position he would bat but would try his best against England. “It totally depends on captain and coach. I can only try and score runs in each and every game," said Zaman. "To play against England at Lord's would be a dream come true…. I am very hopeful [of playing at Lord's] but it depends on the coach and captain, let’s see what they decide" The opening batsman further said that he has been working on his ‘technique’ for Test cricket, for a month or so. "I am training with the red ball and working on my technique as well [for Tests]….. Before I played white ball cricket, I had played a lot of red ball cricket but once I started playing the white ball, I haven’t played that much with the red ball so I have been practicing for a month with the red ball." Pakistan will be facing England for the two Test series, with the first Test match scheduled at the historic Lord’s on May 24.
