COMSATS-Lancaster Cricket Championship: CIIT Attock/Wah Campus defeat CIIT Abbottabad

Fine knock of 75 runs by Uzair Javed enabled COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Attock/Wah Campus to defeat CIIT Abbottabad by 4 runs in the COMSATS-Lancaster Cricket Championship here at Qaddafi Stadium on Friday.
While batting first, after winning the toss, CIIT Attock/Wah scored 160 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Uzair Javed hammered 75 runs in 48 deliveries dispatching the ball 7 times to the ropes and with 4 towering sixes. Jamil Qureshi made 28 runs with the help of four boundaries and Hamza Shah contributed 14 runs with the help of a six and a four. Junaid Khattak claimed two wickets for 56 runs while one wicket was taken by Summan Jahangir for 12 runs for CIIT Abbottabad Campus.
While Chasing the total of 168 runs to win, CIIT Abbottabad fell short by four runs losing seven wickets in the process. Junaid Khan was the top scorer with 42 runs hitting one six and 4 boundaries facing 26 balls; Muhammad Riaz hit 30 off 19 balls with five hits to the fence while Junaid Khattak contributed 13 runs. For CIIT Attock/Wah Jaffar Hussain grabbed three wickets for 22 runs while Umar got one wicket for 16 runs.
