All banks to remain closed on Thursday for Zakat deduction

ISLAMABAD: All banks, development financial institutions (DFIs), and mircofinance banks (MFBs) will remain closed for public dealing on Thursday (1st Ramadan), for deduction of Zakat.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in a statement issued here Wednesday said its offices would also remain closed for public dealings on Thursday.

Hwever, all employees of the banks, DFIs, and MFBs will attend their offices on bank holiday, treating it as a normal working day.
