Punjab Prevention & Control of Dengue Regulations extended

These regulations would remain enforced till November 30.  

According to the notification issued by the Department, the owners/ residents of houses and properties would be responsible for ensuring prevention and eradication of dengue in their houses and properties for which they would be responsible to remove/ destroy the solid waste and discard things capable of holding water and placed in the open air.      

The house dwellers would remove all dengue hotspots from their premises and they would cooperate with the dengue teams coming for surveillance activities.    

Hospitals and clinics will be responsible to provide data of dengue patients to the Health Department or visiting health inspectors. All departments and institutions would take necessary precautionary measures to check the dengue breeding, according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the Dengue Regulations 2018, as per previous practice.

All hospitals would ensure adequate treatment facilities for the dengue patients including setting up of dengue wards and high dependency units. Dengue regulations would come into force with immediate effect.
