Only a few hours after an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hit parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday morning, tremors were felt once again in the afternoon after an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 hit again.

According to local media reports, the second earthquake tremors were felt in various cities of KP and Punjab. The cities included Islamabad, Lahore, Muree, Abbottabad and Peshawar.

The second earthquake came hours after the first one jolted parts of KP early morning, which has sparked fear among the residents. Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and other parts.

People rushed out of their homes and offices in panic. However, fortunately no loss of life has been reported.
