The Opposition walked out from Punjab Assembly on Friday after Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah refused to apologize for his misogynistic remarks about female workers of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

While addressing a session of Punjab Assembly today, the law minister reiterated that while he had retracted his statement he would not say sorry for the remarks he had made regarding the PTI women. "I will not even say the first letter 's' of sorry." Following his refusal, the Opposition staged a walk out in anger, local media reported.

On Monday, while talking to the media Sanaullah had targeted the PTI women who had attended the PTI rally and said that the women were not from honorable families as their dance implied where they had actually come from.

PTI's Mahmood-ur-Rasheed said that while Sanaullah had withdrawn his remarks, he should also apologize.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz leader and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had already apologized on Twitter saying “I apologize for anti-women remarks made by some party leaders.”
