Elections to be held in time: Bizenjo

QUETTA: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo Thursday said general election should be held in time which was important for the development of the country and apparently there was no reason for delay in the elections.

He said this while talking to media persons here at press club while presenting cheques of grant for Quetta Press Club and Gwadar Press Club on behalf of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb here. The cheques were handed over to Quetta Press Club President Raza-ur-Rehman.

He said the National Party would discuss with other political parties regarding seat-to-seat adjustment for upcoming general election.

The federal minister said there was no law and order problem in holding the upcoming general election as the situation had improved in Balochistan as compared to 2013.

Replying a question, he said the National Party would make alliances with other parties after consultation so that maximum seats could be secured in the elections.

“National Party will play its part in holding the upcoming general elections on its scheduled time,” he added.

Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo said his party would organize a central committee on May 5 to review the present situation regarding preparation of general elections.

He also thanked the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting on cash grant for the press clubs.

Earlier, Quetta Press Club President Raza-ur-Rehman and other senior journalist thanked Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzaib in this regard.
