A book related to accounting concepts in taxation matters titled 'A Journey for Clarity', written by Syed Muhammad Shabbar Zaidi, was launched here on Thursday. Prof Dr Adeeb-ul-Hassan Rizvi, Director Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, and MNA Kishwar Zehra were chief guests at the launch ceremony of the book held at the ICAP House.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Adeeb said that he encouraged Shabar for writing a book to set guidelines for other professionals. He said that the author was a true professional and he helped him a lot to deal with the institute related affairs.
Kishwar Zehra congratulated Shabar for his efforts and wished him all success in future.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Naseem Haider, Asad Ali Shah, Saqib Masood, Masood Naqvi, Mehmood, Tashfeen Niaz, chairman Sindh Revenue Board and publisher Kamran Noorani.
The speakers said that Shabar was a candid person who was always ready to share his ideas. They said that the author had highlighted key issues and global subjects in his book.
They said that the author had compiled various tribunal decisions and tried to emphasis the role and responsibilities of the accountants. They were of the view that Shahbar was a source of inspiration for other professionals in the field.
Later, Shahbar in his keynote address said the book was aimed at bridging the gap between society and the regulators. He also announced to launch another book titled 'Pakistan is not a failed state' in coming days.
