Three culprits apprehended for grey trafficking

Bahawalpur Police here on Saturday apprehended three culprits for grey trafficking. District Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr Sohail Habib Tajik told APP that police had recovered laptops, Nadra voters' list, 500 Telenor SIMs, five Evo Cloud devices, five mobile phones, five USB drives, five TP-Link devices and 15 mobile SIM readers from their possession.
DPO said culprits issued non-activated SIMs of Telenor Company and used Nadra voters' list database to activate those SIMs and used to divert international calls to local numbers which caused huge loss of revenue to PTA and government of Pakistan. The Police cracked down against illegal mini-exchange used for grey traffic and arrested three culprits namely Jamshed, Afzal and Ali Akbar while Salim is still at large. He further told APP that a team was constituted for Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's (PTA) campaign against Grey Traffic, which comprised DSP City Riaz Hussain Bukhari, Inspector Wasim Aslam and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Latif.
