ISLAMABAD: The federal government has allocated Rs200 million for three ongoing and new schemes of Statistics Division under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the upcoming fiscal year 2018-19.

According to budgetary document, Rs132 million have been allocated for ongoing project of up-gradation of rural area frame for the conduct of census and survey.

Among the new schemes, the government allocated Rs45 million for development of computer assisted personal interviewing system for all surveys and census of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

An amount of Rs68 million has been earmarked for GIS automation and capacity building of PBS offices.
