The Hang Seng Index added 0.91 percent, or 272.99 points, to close at 30,280.67.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.23 percent, or 7.20 points, to 3,082.23, and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.32 percent, or 5.73 points, to 1,776.13.
