Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will reportedly not attend today's National Assembly session in which the federal government will present budget for 2018-2019.

According to local media reports, Khan is expected to visit Peshawar today on a one-day visit. Khan will be meeting provincial ministers and party lawmakers and will also be briefed about the ongoing development projects.

Khan will also be addressing a youth assembly and is also expected to meet Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

The federal government will be presenting the budget for 2018-2019 in the National Assembly today. However, opposition parties including PTI and Pakistan Peoples Party have planned to stage protest against the budget.
