Khawaja Asif got publicly humiliated here and abroad: Imran Khan

Khawaja Asif who had targeted Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMTH) himself has been publicly humiliated after Islamabad High Court (IHC) disqualified him, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday.

"Another darbari of the godfather disqualified," Khan said on Twitter said. He said that Asif too had followed the same pattern that Nawaz Sharif had used. "Asif had used iqama to shield corruption and indulge in money laundering," he added.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Usman Dar, who had filed a petition in the IHC against Asif, said that it was with the help of Khan, lawyers, PTI members and social media activists that he had brought this [Asif] 'fraudster under the long arms of Law.'

Dar in his petition said that Asif concealed an UAE iqama in his nomination papers and should be disqualified.
