Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday challenged the election results of two more constituencies in Karachi won by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. PTI's Saeed Afridi and Ahsan Jabbar filed two separate applications in Election Commission of Pakistan's Sindh chapter reportedly over rigging reports in National Assembly seat NA-241 and Sindh Assembly seat PS-117.
The seats NA-241 (Orangi) and PS-117 (PIB Colony) were respectively won by MQM's S.A Iqbal Qadri and Dr Sagheer Ahmed. So far, election result of 29 seats has been challenged in Sindh, including those won by PPP's Sharjeel Inaam Memon, Agha Siraj Durrani, MQM's Dr Farooq Sattar, Sajid Ahmed, Iqbal Muhammad Ali, Abdul Rashid Godil, PML-N's Hakim Baloch and Irfan Ullah Marwat. Sharjeel Inaam Memon's victory from PS-50 was also challenged in election tribunal by Haji Khwand Ghulam of Pir Pagara's Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
