Minister stresses need to discourage corrupt, opportunist elements

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Thursday stressed the need to discourage corrupt and opportunist elements in political parties.

Talking to a private news channel, he said such elements who used to change their loyalties for their own interest, should not be given party ticket by any political party in the future.

He said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's narrative of sanctity of vote was becoming popular among the masses.

Minister of State said that Maryam Nawaz was standing with his father Nawaz Sharif and supporting his narrative regarding respect of vote.

To a question, he said PTI chief Imran Khan was habitual of leveling baseless allegations on others.

He said political leaders in the history of the country who struggled for the democracy, were never afraid of going to jail.
