Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) talent hunt programme team in collaboration with Pakistan Army will visit North Waziristan Agency on Saturday for trials of youth of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) at Younas Khan Cricket Ground Miranshah.

National Cricket Academy (NCA) Mushtaq Ahmed along with leg-spinners Shadab Khan and Yasir Shah and General Manager NCA Ali Zia would be part of the team coming for trails.

The team will take trials and selected players will be part of PCB skill development camp under auspices of NCA.

This will help youth of FATA to showcase their talent and represent at the national level at par with other sportsmen from across the country.

According to reports, Pakistan Army will provide all support including security for the purpose.

NCA Head coach said, “We went their last year to play an exhibition match their with foreign media persons.”

“That was a very positive message for world that Pakistan is safe place to play cricket. It was a no go area, but due to the initiative of Pakistan Army, we went there and play the game at the venue was amazing,” said the coach.

“This time we are going there for trails, lets’ see the talent.”

A special match between a Pakistan XI team and UK Media XI at Miranshah in September last year created a history.

That match was a testimony of defeating terrorist’s narratives. The holding of Pakistan Super League third edition's final in Karachi has also proved that normalcy has returned to city of lights and the fear is fading away.
