Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Thursday said that Pakistan is now a much safer country and its city Karachi faces normal crimes like in other countries.

Addressing the closing ceremony of International Counter-Terrorism Forum in Islamabad, the PM said that Pakistan has defeated terrorists and will continue to defeat them in this war against terrorism.

The premier added that Pakistan has achieved high growth and unparalleled development and have great interest in every field and welcome companies to put up projects and industries in Pakistan.

Speaking about relationship with Afghanistan, the PM Abbasi said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan more than any country and that the way forward is through dialogue and not through war.

Earlier, while speaking at the same conference, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif had too focused on terrorism and said that the whole nation stands united in the fight against terrorism. He said that Pakistan had fought terrorism and extremism.
