Gautam Gambhir reignites war with Shahid Afridi
The recent comments by Pakistan star all rounder Shahid Afridi over the latest wave of violence in Indian held Kashmir has not sit well with many Indians including Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir, as the opening batsman called Afridi ‘retarded’ on social media. “Media called me for reaction on Afridi's tweet on OUR Kashmir and United Nations. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for UN, which in his retarded dictionary means 'UNDER NINTEEN' his age bracket. Media can relax, Afridi is celebrating a dismissal off a no-ball!!!” stated Gambhir, who has a hot and cold relationship with the Pakistan player on social media. Kashmir is the pious land where my forefathers were born. I hope @SAfridiOfficial bhai asks Pakistan Army to stop terrorism and proxy war in our Kashmir. We want peace, not bloodshed and violence. 🙏 — Suresh Raina (@ImRaina) April 4, 2018 The statement comes after Afridi voiced his support for Kashmiris against the cruelty of Indian armed forces, after scores of Kashmiris were martyred at the hands of Indian armed forces. “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the UN and other international bodies and why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?” Afridi said on social media.
