He said 95 percent of TDPs have settled back at their native lands, however, in order to bring FATA at par with progressive areas of the country, the government was committed to provide 1000 million rupees for development projects under 10 years development program. He said consultation of tribal people and representation of Mlaiks will be ensured.
He expressed these views in a question and answer session at a meeting with delegation of Command and Staff College here at Governor's House on Tuesday. Earlier, a presentation was given about law and order in FATA. Additional Chief Secretary FATA Sikandar Qayyum was also present on the occasion.
After success of Army operations in FATA, no go areas have been eliminated and political administration has been empowered to resolve problems of people of FATA. Referring to various indicators, the Governor said that peace has restored due to sacrifices of Pak Army, other security agencies and tribal people. Economic and industrial zones were being established in FATA in order to give employment opportunities to people of FATA.
