An official from the Agriculture department talking to APP said that Commissioner Sargodha had also asked the officials concerned to remove all hurdles which were creating problems for farmers, adding that steps should be taken seriously to enhance per acre yield after provision of quality products.
Deputy Director Agriculture (Plant Protection) told APP here Tuesday that during last month, a total of 19 sale points of pesticides and fertilizers were raided and confiscated fake products while 14 FIRs were registered and Rs 470,000 fine was imposed on adulterers.
A total of 288 micro nutrition samples were collected and also sent to the laboratory and 13 FIRs were registered in this regard, he added. He said that directions had already been issued for strict monitoring of dealers and cases would be registered against people violation instructions.
