MPA Wajih-uz-Zaman Khan part ways with PTI, joins PML-Q
Almost a year after joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party's member of Parliament (MPA) Wajih-uz-Zaman Khan parted ways and joined Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Saturday.
PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat held a joint press conference with Zaman at his residence in Islamabad. Announcing his decision to join PML-Q, Zaman said that Shujaat had given him a lot of respect that no one had ever given him.
The MPA, who had only recently joined PTI, gave his reasons for parting ways with PTI and said, "PTI's Chairman Imran Khan, who I respect, only cares about himself and no one else."
Zaman was initially a member of Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz but he left the party willingly. Zaman said that Nawaz Sharif had made lots of promises to him about giving funds. But he claimed that Sharif never kept his promise and did not even shake hands with Zaman for three years.
Earlier, another PTI's Member of National Assembly Ahmed Raza Maneka had announced his decision to quit PTI, local media reported. Maneka said that Imran Khan was not aware of his team and would never visit any local leader from Pakpattan.
