ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday reserved its judgment in a case filed by former minister Shaukat Tareen seeking dismissal of reference regarding rental power project corruption.
A divisional bench of IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani reserved the judgment after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzafar completed his arguments.
The petitioner had stated in his plea that he had not been involved in corruption scam. The project was approved by the then cabinet.
He requested the court to turn down the reference against him.
After hearing the arguments at large from both sides, the court reserved the judgment in corruption reference.
