Following the orders of the Chief Commissioner Islamabad , Aftab Akbar Durrani,
Excise and Taxation Department ICT has accelerated the campaign and removed 4700 illegal fancy number plates from the vehicles during on-going campaign.
Director Excise and Taxation told that the department has constituted two teams which are carrying out checking of vehicles at the different locations of the city and removing illegal fancy number plates.
The Excise Department has directed the owner of vehicles to use only those security and safety featured number plates on the vehicles which is issued by the Excise and Taxation Department, Islamabad.
The Excise Department has warned that use of fancy number plate on the vehicle by the owner itself is illegal, therefore, it should be removed from the vehicle forthwith failing which legal action will be taken against the violators.
