Farooq Sattar believes ECP's decision is a conspiracy to finish MQM-P
Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan's (MQM-P) Farooq Sattar claimed on Monday that Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision against him was a conspiracy to finish the party.
Addressing the media after the ECP removed him as the party's convener, Sattar said that this decision was made against him because he had saved the party from disintegrating back in August 23.
Terming the decision as an illegal one, Sattar said that in Pakistan's history not once had ECP made any decision regarding intra-party election of any political party.
Sattar further said that MQM-P's kite was stolen from the party workers and given to the Bahadurabad faction. He added that how will the faction fight for Elections 2018 with no supporters.
The former convener alleged that all this had been done so that seats would be given to Pakistan Sarzameen Party, which would lead to the possibility of minus-Farooq Sattar.
Meanwhile, Faisal Sabzwari from the Rabita Committee addressing a news conference, said that they invite Sattar to join them and lead MQM-P together.
He added that there was only one MQM-P and that he and leaders of the party were all part of the same organisation.
