PSL3 champion Sami reveals his fitness secret
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami was one of the top performers at the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), as the veteran played a vital role in taking his side the Islamabad United to their second PSL title. The 37 years old bowled with exception pace and accuracy, making everyone reminisce of his hey days. The Karachi-born pacer revealed his success secret, saying that he keeps himself fit by training and playing football in the off season. “I am very happy. We won the first season but were knocked out in the second. I keep trying and keep looking after my fitness. I look after my body by training, play football during off-season. I try to perform and keep enjoying every time I step out on to the field,” stated Sami at the post match conference. Earlier, former Australian batsman Dean Jones impressed with Sami said that he can still represent Pakistan in international cricket. “Sami still has a chance, believe it or not, to do something for Pakistan in the future and I honestly believe that,” said Jones, quoted Khaleej Times. Meanwhile, the Islamabad United clinched their second PSL title after beating defending champions Peshawar Zalmi by three wickets with 19 deliveries remaining at the final in Karachi on Sunday.
