A spokesman of Civil Aviation Authority told Radio Pakistan that the project will be completed at a cost of Rs two billion.
It includes expansion of domestic and international flight lounges. Under the proposed plan, a multi-storey parking facility, terminals equipped with arrival-departure tubes, aprons and other basic facilities would be constructed.
The sources said that after the renovation and expansion it could meet requirements for next three to four decades.
“Peshawar has a strong future because of its location and it can provide more business on international front, provided proper space and facilities were arranged at the airport,” said the spokesman.
