Peshawar Zalmi would take on Karachi Kings today (Thursday), in what could be its last ditch effort to make into the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition at Sharjah.

Standing fifth at the points table with six points in eight games, need to win both their matches to make it into the playoffs stage.

The Sammy led side have lost their last two games, and their previous encounter with the Karachi Kings also ended on a losing note, after the Kings beat them by five wickets with two deliveries to spare.

Meanwhile, the Kings sitting third on the points table with nine points, in eight games would punch their ticket into the playoffs if they manage to score a win today against the yellow team.

The Kings are reported to be without their skipper Imad Wasim, with Eoin Morgan taking on the captaincy duties, after Imad got himself injured in the last match.
