Five witnesses record statements in NAB references

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court of Islamabad Wednesday recorded statements of five prosecution witnesses in Flagship and Al-Azizia references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the Sharif family.

Manager Standard Chartered Bank Wapda Town Lahore Noreen Shahzadi, Shabir Ahmed, NAB Assistant Director Waqar Ahmed, employee of another private bank employee Sher Khan and another witnesses recorded their statements before Judge Mohammed Bashir.

Defence counsel Khawaja Haris cross-examined all the witnesses.

The court also issued summons for Joint Investigation Team head Wajid Zia to record his testimony on March 21.

Former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif attended the court proceedings.
