ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry Tuesday underlined the need for making a "code of conduct" to control rising incidents of hurling shoes on any political leader or person.

Talking to a private news channel, he condemned the incident of hurling shoes at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership during a public gathering in Gujrat. Those involved in such acts should be punished, he added.

Talal said the nation had no such ugly tradition and steps, including strict punishments, should be taken to prevent such incidents in future.

To a question, he said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was struggling for sanctity of vote.
