Pakistan on Tuesday successfully test-fired an extended version of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigation systems.
“The weapon system is capable of engaging targets at extended ranges with high precision and lethality,” ISPR said, adding that the test validated additional technical parameters of various subsystems incorporated to improve accuracy and enhance survivability.
The launch was witnessed by senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and the service chiefs congratulated the teams on the successful test and appreciated their technical expertise, dedication and commitment, ISPR said.
