Praising Pakistan Super League (PSL) for producing talented players, one of the leading experts in the cricket world Harsha Bhogle has said that T20 cricket will be the biggest strengths of Green Shirts in the foreseeable future.

“At the moment, where Pakistan cricket lies and with all that is happening around Pakistan as well, their biggest strength will be T20 cricket in years to come and it is reflected into where they are in ICC rankings and they are right at top,” said  Bhogle, quoted Cricbuzz

Playing alongside cricketing greats including Kumar Sangakkara, Kevin Pieteren and sharing dug out with Viv Richards, Tom Moody has turned PSL into a catalyst of producing talented players.

“Fakhar Zaman has come out of nowhere and is an established international player now, alongside the likes of Babar Azam and Sarfraz Ahmed who are very quality players, you have Shadab Khan, what a player he is going to be for Pakistan then there is Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf.”

“The PSL is not just throwing talent but is nurturing them, its making them more rounded as well, and is making a supply chain for Pakistan certainly in T20 cricket,” said the cricket commentator.

The cricket expert was however, of the opinion that in order for the T20 tournament to become more than just a league, it is essential to bring it back to Pakistan.

“The future of this tournament, in the absence of huge rights money, in the absence of world’s biggest players coming into the tournament, the future lies in taking it to Pakistan,” he added.
