The federal government raised the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs1.39 per litre while reducing the price of Motor Spirit (petrol) by Rs1.70 per litre for Wednesday, August 12.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Tuesday revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of petrol was decreased by Rs1.70 per litre, taking it from Rs327.62 to Rs325.92 per litre.

The price of HSD was increased by Rs1.39 per litre, from Rs380.86 to Rs382.25 per litre.

The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.

In the previous review on Monday, the government kept the prices of petrol and HSD unchanged.
