Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan on August 10, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign against foreign-sponsored terrorism.

Weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered and destroyed during the operation, while sanitisation operations were also conducted to eliminate any remaining threats in the area.

The ISPR said security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue the counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan, to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
