Pakistan security forces killed four terrorists and destroyed two explosives-laden vehicles during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on Thursday, the military’s media wing said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on reported presence of terrorists belonging to “Fitna al Hindustan.”

During the operation, security forces intercepted the movement of two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) along with the terrorists operating them. The forces destroyed both explosives-laden vehicles and killed all four terrorists in what ISPR described as a swift and proactive action.

The military said sanitisation operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any other terrorists found there.

ISPR said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue counter-terrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign to eliminate what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
