Govt increases petrol price by Rs1.63, diesel's by Rs1.55 per litre

The government has increased the prices of petroleum products by up to Rs1.63 per litre, effective for Wednesday, July 29.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The price of Motor Spirit (petrol) has been increased by Rs1.63 per litre, taking it from Rs334.18 to Rs335.81 per litre.

The price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has gone up by Rs1.55 per litre, rising from Rs386.83 to Rs388.38 per litre.

The new prices will remain in effect until tomorrow, in line with the government’s ongoing practice of adjusting fuel prices based on international oil markets and other cost factors.
