Sri Lankan shares close higher on real estate and IT gains

Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Tuesday as gains in real estate and IT stocks outweighed losses in energy and material stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled up 0.2% at 21,229.14.
Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC and Kerner Haus Global Solutions PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All-Share index, gaining 20% and 10%, respectively.
Trading volume on the index rose to 87.5 million shares from 65.1 million shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover fell to 2.02 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.01 million) from 2.07 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 1.04 billion rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 2 billion rupees, the data showed.
