Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, led by IT and communication services stocks.
The CSE All-Share index settled marginally higher at 22,409.81 points.
Samson International and Agstar PLC were the top percentage gainers on the index, up 13.5% and 7.8%, respectively, on the day.
Trading volume on the index slightly fell to 63.9 million shares from 67.8 million shares in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover dipped to 1.91 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($5.69 million) from 2.73 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net buyers, purchasing stocks worth 52.93 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading shares worth 1.86 billion rupees, the data showed.
