Mari Energies commences Shams-1 gas supply to SNGPL

Mari Energies has begun supplying 30 MMscfd of gas from its Shams-1 discovery to SNGPL, effective June 19, 2026, following government approval.

Mari Energies Limited announced on Tuesday that it had commenced gas supply of up to 30 MMscfd from the Shams-1 discovery to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
The company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange in a notice today.
The notice said that the company had commenced the supply pursuant to the government’s approval, with effect from June 19th 2026, during the Extended Well Testing (EWT) period.

Mari Energies is the operator of Mari D&PL with 100% working interest.
The company is an integrated oil and gas exploration and production company, and around 70% exploration success rate, which is much higher than industry averages of around 33% nationally and 14% internationally.
MARI’s key customers include fertiliser manufacturers, power generation companies, gas distribution companies, and refineries.
