Pioneer Cement launches captive solar power project in Khushab

KARACHI: Pioneer Cement Limited has launched a 28-megawatt captive solar power project at its manufacturing facility in Chenki, Khushab.

The project is among the largest single-site solar installations completed in a single phase by a cement manufacturer in Pakistan, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient operations.

According to a material information disclosure shared by Pioneer Cement with its shareholders through a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

Pioneer Cement has executed a contract with Zero Carbon (Private) Limited, an experienced renewable energy partner, for the development of a landmark 28MW Captive Solar Power Project at its manufacturing facility in Chenki, District Khushab.
