PM Shehbaz, Qatari counterpart discuss evolving regional situation

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to discuss evolving regional and international situation.
During the call, PM Shehbaz expressed appreciation for Qatar’s active role in regional diplomacy and its efforts to build international consensus on ongoing mediation initiatives. He also thanked the Qatari leadership for supporting Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and fostering stability in the region.
Both leaders emphasised the importance of continued, close coordination among international stakeholders to address shared security challenges.
PM Shehbaz also extended his regards to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, noting that Pakistan looks forward to hosting the Amir on an official state visit in the near future. The two counterparts agreed to maintain high-level communication to follow up on today’s discussions.
