Both sides underscored the importance of constructive engagement by all parties to ensure the success of ongoing peace efforts and maintain regional harmony, said the statement, in an implied yet obvious reference to the escalated tension in the region following rising lingering hostility between Iran and the United States. PM Sharif conveyed his “warm regards to Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani,” said the official handout.
The PM, it said, is looking forward to the Qatari Amir’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.
