FM Dar, UN chief discuss regional situation in phone call
- Two leaders review latest regional situation and Pakistan’s continued engagement with relevant parties
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, during which both sides discussed regional developments and ongoing diplomatic engagements, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
The two leaders reviewed the latest regional situation and Pakistan’s continued engagement with relevant parties, according to the statement.

The UN chief appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts and conveyed the international community’s support for its role in promoting regional and international peace and stability.
He also reaffirmed the United Nations’ support for Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives aimed at fostering peace and stability, the statement added.
