Sri Lankan shares end higher on gains across sectors

Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Thursday, aided by gains across sectors led by healthcare and communication services.
The CSE All Share index settled up 1.47% at 22,588.97, rising for the third straight session.
Renuka City Hotels and Ceylon Land & Equity were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, up 6.19% and 3.51%, respectively.
Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 242.7 million shares from 188 million in the previous session.
The equity market’s turnover rose to 4.96 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($15.71 million) from 3.05 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 203.2 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 4.89 billion rupees, the data showed.
