MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India kept its key repo rate unchanged on Wednesday, in line with expectations, while maintaining the cash reserve ratio at 3%.
The RBI’s six-member monetary policy committee (MPC) voted to hold the repo rate steady at 5.25%, while also maintaining the standing deposit facility rate at 5%.
In June last year, the central bank had announced a 100-basis-point cut to the CRR.
The change was implemented in four equal tranches, from September to November.
