New customs station set up at Iran border

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday established a new Customs station at the Pakistan-Iran border to handle the personal baggage of passengers coming from Iran.

The facility is only related to the extent of passengers’ baggage of those coming from Iran.

In this regard, the FBR has issued an SRO 530(I)/2026 to amend the SRO 102(I)/83.

According to the FBR’s notification, the new Customs station, Jeerak, has been setup at the Pakistan-Iran border in District Panjgur.

In January 2025, the federal government opened a new crossing point at the Pakistan-Iran border in Panjgur to facilitate legal trade activities between the two countries. The trade route in the Kohak Cheedgi area was aimed at boosting business activities in the Panjgur area of Balochistan.

It was the fourth official border crossing point between Pakistan and Iran at Kohak Cheedgi area of Panjgur.
