In a bid to manage the seasonal surge in passengers, Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special trains for Eid-ul-Fitr, following directives from the minister for Railways.

The special services are designed to connect major hubs across the country, ensuring that citizens can travel to their hometowns with ease during the upcoming long weekend.

According to the official schedule released by the railway authorities: The first special train will depart from Lahore for Karachi on March 16. Two services will commence, with one departing from Quetta for Rawalpindi and another from Karachi for Peshawar on March 17.

The final special train will depart from Karachi for Lahore on March 18.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways stated that these additional trains have been commissioned to alleviate the pressure on regular scheduled services.
