Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from February 26 to 28 to participate in the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session of the OIC Executive Committee, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.

The ministerial session, scheduled to be held in Jeddah on the night of February 26, has been convened to deliberate on what the OIC described as illegal decisions by Israeli occupation authorities to expand settlements, pursue annexation, and attempt to impose Israeli sovereignty over the Occupied West Bank.

During the meeting, Dar will present Pakistan’s perspective on Israel’s recent measures aimed at converting areas of the Occupied West Bank into so-called “state land,” reiterating Islamabad’s consistent support for the Palestinian cause.

On the sidelines of the session, the deputy prime minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional developments.
