PM Shehbaz arrives in Doha on two-day official visit
- Both leaderships to exchange views on regional, global developments of mutual interest
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha on Monday on a two-day official visit to Qatar at the invitation of the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, the prime minister was received by Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Aamer and other diplomatic officials.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the premier.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Amir of Qatar.
The discussions will focus on enhancing economic cooperation, strengthening energy partnership and promoting people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides are also expected to deliberate on expanding collaboration in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development and export of skilled manpower.
The visit underscores the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar and reflects the shared commitment of both leaderships to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation.
