KARACHI: The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative has crossed a significant milestone, with total inflows surpassing USD 12 billion as of February 10, 2026 since its launch in September 2020.

According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), RDA inflows stood at USD 11.707 billion by the end of December 2025. Commutatively more than 900,000 accounts have been opened by overseas Pakistanis since the launch of this initiative.

The SBP expressed gratitude to the diaspora for their continued trust and support in the programme. ‘‘The persistent rise in RDA inflows indicates the continued confidence of overseas Pakistanis in this initiative and highlighting their significance in supporting foreign exchange reserves,” the SBP said.

Analysts said that the steady growth in RDA inflows reflects the sustained confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the initiative and underscores their vital role in strengthening the country’s foreign exchange reserves and supporting financial stability.

Launched to facilitate overseas Pakistanis, the RDA enables non-resident Pakistanis to remotely open digital bank accounts in collaboration with commercial banks.

The accounts provide a wide range of services, including banking transactions, payments, and investment opportunities in Pakistan. The platform also allows overseas Pakistanis to conveniently send remittances to the country.
